Again my cake comparison is slightly lacking this week, however i have found a 1.5kg bag of cake mixture, how big a cake would that make?!??!! |
There is def no escaping the bump anymore and I have already had incidences involving my tum reaching objects sooner than the rest of me, the first one, involving the kitchen worktop amused us both greatly. I am also massively underestimating how much room I need when moving around/squeezing through smaller spaces. I feel like I need a wide load light (flashing orange).
Baby D continues to move around and enjoy the now decreasing space, and is still maintaining the 1, 3 or 5am wake up calls - deep joy.
I have had a couple of "oh my" moments over the last few days, the thought that Jr is 6 weeks away from being classed as full term and 3 short weeks later we will (being late is not an option) finally be meeting him or her are the main ones. The time now feels like it has whizzed by and now our final pre-baby annual leave has just finished both Pip and I feel like this is the home run, which means it will fly by I am sure.
Purchasing continues, with trips to Boots being high up on the list, I never knew I would have so much cotton wool in my house, and we still have a few essentials to get, changing mat and bouncer being the key ones I think. I am still weighing up the "its baby number 1" vs "how much!" for a beautiful cellular blanket from The White Company, I have a feeling I will cave!
This week, as mentioned, we have had a week off from work and enjoyed a few days down in Highcliffe at mums van. We had very little planned for this week other than reading, knitting - in my case at least, snoozing - again more me than Pip and plenty of ice creams (and/) or cream teas!
Thankfully we managed all of them and more and have had the best few days, below are a few photos for you...
